Earliest political memory #37
Age 4. I remeber holding a banner on a protest in support of the workers' strike on an electrical power plant in Tripoli, Greece. My father was one of the workers on strike and member of the Greek communist party at the time. I was on the first line, holding the cloth of the banner which was held low by the adults there in order for me to be able to hold it from its upper side. We were walking and shouting relevant slogans. I liked the vibe of the protest, the people marching, the songs, the various stimuly. I believe there were other children there as well.
