My earliest political memory is from some elections in 199…something (I can’t remember the exact year, but I think it was the first elections of the ’90s). In every election, we used to go to the village, we used to call the village Moulete^[1]. I remember going with my cousins and the other village children to the voting venue and collecting black bags filled with all the unused ballots. We would keep these ballots and play “the Elections” at the backyard or we would count them and make prognoses about the outcome of the elections. That particular time, we didn’t find a lot of PASOK ballots, and we were saying that PASOK will win, as we wanted (because we wanted PASOK to win).

Η πρώτη μου πολιτική ανάμνηση είναι από τις εκλογές κάποιες (το 199… κάτι, ήταν οι πρώτες εκλογές, χρονολογία δε θυμάμαι) που γενικά όποτε γίνονταν, πηγαίναμε στο χωριό, στο Μούλετε όπως το λέγαμε. Και θυμάμαι που πηγαίναμε με τα παιδιά του χωριού και τα ξαδέρφια μου στο εκλογικό κέντρο και πέρναμε τις μαύρες σακούλες που είχαν τα ψηφοδέλτια που δεν χρησιμοποιούνταν. Τα πέρναμε και κάναμε μετά δικές μας εκλογές στην αυλή ή μετρούσαμε αυτά τα ψηφοδέλτια και κάναμε προγνωστικά για το ποιο κόμμα θα βγει. Και βλέπαμε ότι δεν είχε πολλά του ΠΑΣΟΚ και άρα θα βγει αυτό, αυτό που «θέλουμε», γιατί αυτό θέλαμε να βγει.
