[1] The Athens Polytechnic’s uprising (November 1973) was a massive act of demonstration and rejection of the junta, led mostly by students. The students occupied the School of Polytechnics, set up a radio station through which they propagated their demands and called for support. The main slogan was “Bread, Education, Freedom”. On the eve of November 17th, the police broke down the gates of the building with a tank. A lot of students were killed, arrested and tortured.
